Fresh of Rockman swimrun i (Loyd Georg Færøvik) understood how important support was.
Me and my teammate could never have done rockman, if it was not for the people that used their day to stand and make sure we got food, that we knew where to go and to cheer us on.
So when Ilya Reuckis asked on facebook for someone to help him as support on Norseman, i could not say no.
Norseman is an xtreme triathlon.
The distances are 3,8 km swimming, 180 km biking and 42,2 km running. In total, the race offers more than 5000 vertical metres, including zombie hill.
Each of the 250 athletes needs to bring their own support team to keep them safe and fed.

I had to do this, even if it meant taking a couple of days of work and travelling hundreds of kilometres.

Ievgen Kalinovskyi is my colleague and friend, i asked him to tag along, since both of us likes to learn new things and he said yes before even knowing what it was!
A whole weekend went for this and I documented it all the way.
I was very curious on how it would be to be a support for something this big and Norseman is an extreme triathlon. With alot of rules and systems made to ensure safety for everyone involved. So it would be great learning experience both as a support and if I wanted to become a Norseman myself, i have a plan to apply for the lottery for next year. 2025 and if i’m lucky i would really have needed to know the things i learned this weekend!

I hope this is interesting both for people that have done Norseman, want to do Norseman, or just are curious about how being support on a event like this is!

It has taken me some weeks to make this video and I know I could cut a lot of it away, but i think it catches every part of the weekend, from the anticipation to the action.
Hope you guys like it! The drone flying, recording and everything was done by me, Ilya was a great athlete and Ievgen was a rock to hold on to through this.
